Program Overview

The Bachelor's program in Hospitality Management, a partnership between Saigon Business School (SBS) and Swiss Hotel Management School (SHMS), is designed to be flexible, providing students with access to world-class education at an affordable cost:

The program consists of 2 stages:

STAGE 1 (IN VIETNAM):
Students will study at SBS for 2 years, including 4 terms of theoretical courses and 2 terms of internships.
The program is taught entirely in English by a team of experienced and dynamic lecturers, all of whom graduated from top hospitality schools worldwide.
The curriculum is continuously updated, closely aligned with industry practices, offering students the opportunity to connect and learn from reputable experts in the hospitality and restaurant sectors.
The “Hospitality” club organizes various activities to help students develop soft skills, specialized knowledge, and professional skills, while also providing a vibrant international exchange environment with peers from diverse countries at SBS.
For students who do not meet the English language entry requirements, the program offers a preparatory English course to help improve their proficiency.
STAGE 2 (IN SWITZERLAND):
Students will continue their studies for 1 year at SHMS, Switzerland.
Upon graduation, students will receive a Bachelor’s degree in International Hospitality Management, opening up many career opportunities.

Master’s in International Hospitality Management from the Swiss Hotel Management School (SHMS), currently serving as Head of the Hospitality Management Department and Deputy Director of Training at Saigon Business School (SBS). Ms. Truc Dao has teaching experience at international institutions and professional experience with businesses in both Vietnam and Switzerland. Professor John Daly

Professor John A. Daly is a leading expert in hospitality and tourism management training, with over 20 years of experience working with the Swiss Education Group, contributing to the advancement of global hospitality education standards. He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Hotel Management, International Tourism, and Education.

As the General Director of the Phu Quoc Hospitality Academy and Saigon Hospitality Academy, he has made significant contributions to the development of the hospitality and tourism industry in Asia. Currently, he serves as the Regional Training Director for Asia at SHMS and the Swiss Education Group (SEG).

TUITION FEES

The Bachelor’s Program in Hospitality Management is designed as the most optimal pathway for students to pursue transfer study opportunities at SHMS, Switzerland, while saving on educational costs.   2. Renting an apartment or sharing a house: Approximately 1,000–2,500 CHF/month, depending on the location and type of accommodation.

  1. Cooking at home: Approximately 300–500 CHF/month.
  2. Dining out: Costs may range from 10–20 CHF per meal at affordable restaurants.

Public Transportation

SCHOLARSHIP

SBS & the Swiss Hotel Management School (SHMS) offer a variety of scholarships for students enrolling in the Bachelor of Hospitality Management program jointly organized by SBS and SHMS:

  • For the study phase in Vietnam: Students have the opportunity to receive SBS scholarships covering up to 70% of tuition fees for the entire period of study in Vietnam. Scholarship eligibility is based on academic performance, extracurricular activities, and the results of an interview with the SBS Admissions Committee.
  • For the study phase in Switzerland: Eligible SBS students transferring to SHMS will be considered for partnership scholarships ranging from 15% to 30% of tuition fees.
