Expanding Study Abroad Opportunities with Study Group Transfers to the U.S.

Saigon Business School (SBS) has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Study Group, a world-leading education provider specializing in university pathway programs and academic foundation courses for international students.

The MOU signing was attended by Mr. Hoàng Văn Cương, Chief Executive Officer of SBS, and Mr. Adriane M., Senior Admissions Director at Study Group. This milestone marks a significant step forward in SBS’s strategy to expand its international partnerships, particularly in the U.S. education sector.

Study Group is a leading international education organization and a trusted strategic partner of more than 50 universities worldwide. In the U.S., Study Group collaborates with universities across North America to build diverse student communities and provide tailored solutions for international students. Notably, Study Group’s solutions simplify and accelerate the study abroad process, increasing the chances of admission for international students to universities in the U.S.

Through this agreement, SBS students will have greater access to transfer opportunities at Study Group’s partner universities in the U.S., providing diverse study options tailored to individual academic and career goals.

There are currently 11 universities in Study Group’s U.S. transfer partner network, with plans for further expansion in the future.

1. DePaul University:

DePaul University has two campuses in Chicago—one in the business district and another in Lincoln Park—offering students numerous internship and career opportunities. The university emphasizes teaching, with 97% of courses being directly taught by faculty. DePaul stands out for its diverse student body, strong alumni network, and commitment to academic excellence, offering over 300 programs. The university also boasts a high post-graduation employment rate.

2. University of Nebraska–Lincoln:

Founded on February 15, 1869, as a land-grant university, the University of Nebraska–Lincoln (UNL) was established to support Nebraska’s growth and development. It is a member of the Big Ten Conference, the Big Ten Academic Alliance, and the Association of Public and Land-Grant Universities (APLU). UNL is classified as an “R1: Doctoral University – Very High Research Activity” by Carnegie and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. The university has produced legendary figures such as naturalist Loren Eiseley, geneticist George Beadle, artist Aaron Douglas, investor Warren Buffett, comedian Johnny Carson, and many more. 3. Towson University (TU):

As one of the top public universities in the U.S., Towson University (TU) fosters academic excellence, research, and career success. Established in 1866, TU now serves over 20,000 students and offers more than 300 academic programs. The 329-acre campus is located in Towson, Maryland, about eight miles north of downtown Baltimore. TU is ranked #15 in the Regional Universities North category by U.S. News & World Report. The university prides itself on diversity and inclusion, with a strong commitment to academic excellence and public service. TU also has a robust NCAA Division I athletics program, known as the Tigers.

4. University of Hartford (UHart):

The University of Hartford is a private university in West Hartford, Connecticut, offering over 100 undergraduate and graduate programs to approximately 6,500 students from 48 states and 43 countries. UHart is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment, preparing students to become knowledgeable and ambitious leaders. The university was recognized as a College of Distinction for 2023-2024 and is highly regarded in fields such as business, education, engineering, nursing, career development, and equity & inclusion.

5. Long Island University (LIU):

Founded in 1926, Long Island University (LIU) is a prestigious institution known for its practical education and high-quality teaching. It has been recognized by Forbes for its hands-on learning experience and praised by the Brookings Institution for its positive impact on students. LIU boasts a global alumni network of over 285,000 professionals, including many influential leaders across various industries. Ranked as a Best National University by U.S. News & World Report, LIU offers a comprehensive university experience with strong business connections, hands-on training, and global learning opportunities—making it an ideal choice for students pursuing careers in business, healthcare, arts, media, technology, and social sciences.

6. James Madison University (JMU):

Founded in 1908, James Madison University (JMU) is a public university located in the Shenandoah Valley, Virginia. The university has quickly become a rising star in higher education due to its unique student-faculty connections, with world-class faculty prioritizing teaching and knowledge pursuit. JMU currently enrolls 21,006 undergraduate students and 1,752 graduate students across more than 130 academic programs. It ranks #27 among the Best Public Universities in the U.S. according to The Wall Street Journal (2025).

7. Lipscomb University:

Lipscomb University is one of the top Christian universities, offering rigorous academic programs with a continuous focus on spiritual development and positive societal impact. The university provides over 200 programs at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels, excelling in fields such as business, education, healthcare, engineering, arts, and sciences. Recognized as a Top National University (U.S. News & World Report, 2025), Lipscomb is also ranked #13 among Christian Universities in the U.S. (Niche, 2025) and holds the #1 ranking for undergraduate business programs in Tennessee for seven consecutive years (Poets & Quants), among other prestigious national rankings.

8. Florida Atlantic University (FAU):

Established in 1961 and officially opened in 1964, Florida Atlantic University (FAU) was the fifth public university in Florida. Today, FAU serves over 30,000 undergraduate and graduate students across six campuses along Florida’s southeastern coast. U.S. News & World Report ranks FAU as one of the top public universities. The university is home to nationally ranked programs in business, engineering, computer science, nursing, online education, and honors studies.

9. Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC):

A doctoral research institution serving Hispanic and minority communities, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC) is known for its distinguished academic programs and faculty. The university offers over 85 programs from bachelor’s to doctoral levels, emphasizing personalized teaching and hands-on learning experiences. 10. California State University San Marcos (CSUSM):

With over 30 years of history, California State University San Marcos (CSUSM) is a forward-thinking university committed to shaping future leaders, strengthening communities, and addressing pressing societal challenges. Located on a 304-acre hilltop overlooking San Marcos, the university is just a short drive from some of Southern California’s most beautiful beaches and about an hour from the U.S.-Mexico border. CSUSM currently enrolls over 17,000 students and is officially accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

11. Western Washington University (WWU):

Founded in 1893, Western Washington University (WWU) is the third-largest public university in Washington State, offering over 200 undergraduate and 40+ graduate programs. With more than 250 student clubs and organizations, WWU provides students with ample opportunities for engagement and holistic development. According to statistics, 90% of WWU alumni are employed or pursue further studies within six months of graduation. For 23 consecutive years, WWU has been recognized as the top master’s-granting institution in the Pacific Northwest.
