Igniting Innovation through the “mySBS” App Design Ideas

The Final Hackathon Pitch Gala Night officially concluded, marking a memorable journey of learning and creativity within the 6-day program “The Future of Tech” – where technology, innovation, and collaboration truly shined.

Students from the University of San Carlos (USC) participated in a series of intensive workshops and practical sessions at SBS, working alongside lecturers and tech experts. Most notably, they had the opportunity to collaborate directly with SBS students to develop solutions for “mySBS” – a student-focused learning application designed to enhance the academic experience and streamline student information management at SBS.

6 Teams – 6 Unique Tech Ideas

During the final night, all six teams confidently presented innovative tech solutions aimed at solving real challenges faced by SBS students in their academic lives. Each team took a distinct approach, showcasing diverse thinking and problem-solving strategies:

  • Team 1 – PAL: Focused on solutions for a Community Hub and Club Management.

  • Team 2 – Kadiliman: Proposed an optimized system for Calendar, Scheduling, and Academic Notifications.

  • Team 3 – NFC-based: Introduced the idea of using NFC technology to improve access and management of learning information.

  • Team 4 – Stella-R: Integrated LMS and AI with Zalo to assist teachers in efficiently managing class group chats by summarizing key information, automating assignments, and streamlining feedback.

  • Team 5 – Aliya’s PanBurikat: Developed a solution for managing student records, academic discussions, course content, and grading.

  • Team 6 – ABG: Built a real-time room scheduling system, allowing students to choose rooms based on availability and amenities.

All ideas were reviewed and advised by a professional panel – Industry expert and mentor throughout the program, including:

Closing a Journey – Opening New Connections

The Gala Night brought an inspiring close to an energetic and meaningful learning journey, paving the way for many more exciting explorations and cultural experiences to come in Vietnam.
More than just a platform for academic exchange, the program empowered young international talents to broaden their perspectives, co-develop practical tech solutions, and cultivate ideas grounded in real-world needs.
Most importantly, it served as a bridge for strengthening partnerships between SBS and other leading universities across Asia, fostering deeper collaboration and future-ready innovation.
