Saigon Business School (SBS) is delighted to officially welcome students from Republic Polytechnic (Singapore) to begin their internship program in Vietnam. This meaningful collaboration marks another milestone in SBS’s commitment to providing international students with immersive, real-world learning experiences in Southeast Asia’s dynamic business environment.

Cultural Exploration Before Professional Immersion
Before officially starting their internship, students had the opportunity to explore the vibrant city of Ho Chi Minh City through visits to iconic landmarks such as:
- Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon
- Saigon Central Post Office
- Independence Palace
- Nguyen Hue Walking Street

These cultural excursions offered students a deeper understanding of Vietnam’s history, architecture, and modern urban lifestyle—laying a strong foundation for their cross-cultural working experience at SBS.
Internship Focus: Marketing & Business Development
During their time at SBS, students are undertaking internships in Marketing and Business Development, where they:
- Engage in real-world market research and branding strategies
- Analyze Vietnam’s labor market trends and business environment
- Participate in hands-on projects supporting enterprise development
- Gain practical insights into Southeast Asian consumer behavior
This experiential learning model enables students to bridge academic knowledge with industry practice, equipping them with valuable global competencies.
Academic Enrichment & Skill Development
Beyond workplace training, students also participate in:
- Business Etiquette Workshops – Enhancing professional communication and corporate conduct skills
- Vietnamese Language & Culture Classes – Delivered by SBS lecturers to deepen cultural understanding and local engagement
These sessions ensure a well-rounded experience that integrates professional growth with cultural appreciation.
A Special Tet Experience – Celebrating Vietnamese New Year
This cohort arrived during one of the most beautiful times of the year in Vietnam—the Tet Holiday, marking the Lunar New Year and the first working days of the year.
Students were able to:
- Experience traditional Tet celebrations in a professional setting
- Enjoy authentic Vietnamese festive cuisine
- Wear the elegant Ao Dai, Vietnam’s traditional costume
- Receive lucky red envelopes (Li Xi) from SBS leadership as a symbol of prosperity and good fortune

This unique cultural immersion provided unforgettable memories and meaningful insights into Vietnam’s traditions and workplace culture.

SBS takes pride in fostering international partnerships that empower students to become globally minded professionals. The presence of Republic Polytechnic students enriches our academic community and strengthens cross-border collaboration in business education.
We look forward to supporting their growth, celebrating their achievements, and continuing to build bridges between Singapore and Vietnam through impactful educational experiences. Welcome to SBS — where global learning meets real-world opportunity!
