On September 8, in an atmosphere filled with joy and energy, the “Welcome Freshmen” event took place successfully, officially welcoming a new generation of talented students into the SBS family. This was not only a formal welcoming ceremony but also a strong source of inspiration, painting a vibrant picture of the exciting learning and development journey ahead.

Heartfelt Messages and Future Directions
At the beginning of the program, new students had the chance to listen to profound and heartfelt sharing from the SBS Board of Management. These were not only warm greetings but also strategic guidance and invaluable advice, helping students better understand the school’s core values, mission, and vision. From these sincere words, the flame of passion and belief in a new beginning was truly ignited.
An Inspiring Story and the “Secrets” to Go Global
A highlight of the event was the sharing session with Pham Thi Hoang Anh, an outstanding 2nd-year Business Administration student preparing to transfer to the University of Northampton (United Kingdom). Through her real-life experience, Hoang Anh revealed valuable secrets:

- Effective study methods to excel in an international environment.
- How to face and overcome pressure while balancing study and life.
- Essential preparations for a successful transfer journey.
- First-hand tips on winning scholarships at prestigious universities.
Her story provided tremendous motivation, giving the new students more confidence in their chosen path and a clearer vision of their goals ahead.
A Golden Opportunity for Enterprise–University Connection
The event also brought a golden opportunity as students met and listened to Mr. Trinh Minh Cuong, representative of the Guta Coffee brand. His talk offered highly practical and appealing insights:

- Wide-ranging job and internship opportunities exclusively for SBS students.
- Real-world applications: how Guta Coffee uses data to make business decisions, opening directions for research and practical projects for students across all three majors – Business Administration, Hospitality Management, and Data Science.
This was a vivid demonstration of the SBS training philosophy “learning goes hand in hand with practice”, helping students connect with businesses right from day one. Notably, Guta Coffee even has a store on the SBS campus, bringing students authentic Vietnamese coffee every day!
A Vibrant, Multinational Atmosphere
Throughout the event, the atmosphere was lively, dynamic, and full of connection. The ceremony gathered freshmen from diverse countries – Vietnam, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Malawi, and Sri Lanka – creating a multicultural exchange environment. Interactive activities broke down barriers, helping students quickly make friends and prepare together for an orientation week full of exciting experiences ahead.
