On September 13, 2025, Saigon Business School (SBS) solemnly held its first-ever Graduation Ceremony, honoring the outstanding academic achievements of its new graduates. Alongside this, the Opening Ceremony for Academic Year 2025–2026 also took place, reaffirming the school’s mission of training high-quality human resources for the economy.
Saigon Business School (SBS) celebrated its very first Graduation Ceremony and the Opening of the new academic year in an atmosphere filled with solemnity and emotions. The ceremony recognized six graduating students who successfully completed their training programs at SBS and received admission letters from international partner universities to continue their academic journeys. At the same time, SBS joyfully welcomed more than 50 new students from six countries—Vietnam, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Malawi, and Sri Lanka—into its multicultural learning community, officially beginning Academic Year 2025–2026.
The moment when 15 national flags were raised during the Opening Ceremony brought deep emotions, symbolizing the presence of students from 15 different countries currently studying at Saigon Business School (SBS). This growing diversity not only reflects SBS’s attractiveness to international students but also affirms the school’s core mission: to build one of the most diverse international student communities in Vietnam, where more than 70% of students come from abroad to study, connect, and grow together.

“We maintain the tradition of holding an opening ceremony every two months. Each time, dozens or even hundreds of students from Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Nigeria, the Philippines, Singapore, and many other countries begin their new learning journey at SBS. However, the September ceremony always carries a special meaning—it is the most important opening ceremony of the academic year,” shared Mr. Hoàng Văn Cương, Chief Executive Officer of Saigon Business School, in his emotional speech at the event.

Especially within the framework of the event, Saigon Business School (SBS) announced its academic partnership with the University of Sunderland (UK). This is an important milestone, opening opportunities for SBS students to directly access international education through the joint program and to earn a Sunderland degree in Vietnam.
Mr. Francis Chang, Executive Director of the University of Sunderland in Hong Kong, sent a special message to SBS students. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of global knowledge and encouraged SBS students to continuously nurture their spirit of learning, proactively seize opportunities, and develop themselves in an international environment. He also expressed his expectation that the cooperation between the two schools would become a strong and sustainable bridge, enabling SBS students to access high-quality UK education and confidently conquer new milestones in their studies and careers.

One of the most impressive moments was when the graduates were called on stage to receive their diplomas from SBS and proudly accepted official admission letters from prestigious international universities.
Four graduates had the honor of receiving admission letters from the University of Sunderland.
Sharing at the event, student Ly Gia Phat, currently majoring in Marketing and preparing to transfer to the University of Sunderland, expressed his hopes that this new journey will bring him practical values and modern business knowledge. This, he said, will be an opportunity to absorb new perspectives from the world and create a solid foundation for his entrepreneurial aspirations in the future.
The ceremony also had the honor of welcoming representatives from high schools such as Thu Duc, Truong Vinh Ky, and Trung Vuong, along with international partners: Swiss Education Group (Switzerland), Deakin University and James Cook University (Australia), the University of Sunderland and the University of Huddersfield (UK), and Conestoga College Institute (Canada). In addition, many of SBS’s corporate partners were also present. Their broad participation reaffirmed the commitment to accompany SBS students throughout their academic journey while contributing significantly to career orientation and university pathway selection for students.

The memorable moments of the freshmen blending into the graduation celebration of their seniors painted a deeply emotional picture of the connection between generations. The joy of the new SBS members and the pride of the graduates harmonized to create a meaningful day, rich in solidarity and academic tradition.

“I am very proud to see my child becoming more confident and proactive in everything while studying at SBS. In particular, the school has accompanied and supported her greatly to achieve the aspirations of both herself and our family, completing her study goals in the UK,” shared the parent of Pham Thi Hoang Anh, a student in Business Administration transferring to the University of Northampton with a 30% scholarship.
