📣 Orientation Day Highlights for Our New Freshmen! 📣

We are excited to welcome our newest cohort of students to SBS! Orientation Day was packed with essential information, engaging activities, and introductions to key services, all designed to ensure a smooth start to their academic journey. 

Here’s a summary of what went down during Orientation Day:

📘 Academic Essentials

During the Academic Session, students received a comprehensive overview of the semester schedule, key attendance policies, and important academic regulations from SBS Academic Team. They also emphasised the importance of clear and effective communication, particularly through email—an essential skill for staying connected with professors, staff, and fellow students. This session helped our freshmen feel prepared and confident as they embark on their university studies.

🌟 Student Services, Resources & SBS Community

Our Student Services team also provided valuable insights into the resources and support available to students throughout their journey at SBS. They learned how to access campus facilities and enjoy student discounts with their SBS ID cards, along with key information about visa extensions and SBS’s global degree programs. Additionally, students were introduced to a range of exciting student life activities, personal development programs, and social opportunities designed to enhance their experience at SBS. These activities, including clubs, events, and cultural experiences, offer students the chance to build lifelong friendships, engage with peers from all over the world, and make the most of their university life.

👩‍🏫 Faculty Highlights

Following the general sessions, students had the chance to break out into smaller groups by their respective programs — Business, Data Science, and Hospitality — where they met with their lecturers for in-depth faculty highlights.

• Hospitality: Students gained a deeper understanding of their program’s structure and what to expect from each course. They discussed the practical skills and knowledge needed for success in this dynamic field.
• Business: The faculty highlighted the growing importance of studying business in Vietnam, emphasising how SBS’s curriculum integrates practical learning through semester-long projects with partner companies. They also discussed opportunities for students to engage with industry leaders through competitions, hackathons, and business events, offering valuable real-world experience.
• Data Science: Students were introduced to the curriculum, designed to make studying abroad an easier and more enriching experience. Faculty provided details on the subjects covered and highlighted the support available to students.
