Last week, in a warm and celebratory atmosphere, Saigon Business School (SBS) officially held the welcome ceremony for international students of the November Intake 2025. As the final international intake of the year, this event marks the conclusion of a remarkable 2025, welcoming outstanding students from Myanmar, Sri Lanka, and Nigeria.
Notably, during the ceremony, SBS announced a new strategic partnership milestone: the official launch of the Student Exchange Program between SBS and Utah Tech University (USA).
Guided by the spirit of “We Care,” SBS organized its Orientation Week with thoughtful attention to detail. Understanding the initial challenges students may face when stepping into a completely new academic and cultural environment, the Student Services team stayed closely by their side throughout the process.
The activities were designed not only to provide essential information but also to help students overcome language barriers and cultural differences. This ensured that they could quickly adapt, feel supported, and confidently begin an exciting learning journey in Vietnam.

This year’s welcome ceremony was further distinguished by the presence of Ms. Morgan Bates, International Admissions Representative from Utah Tech University (USA).
During the ceremony, Mr. Hoàng Văn Cương – Executive Director of SBS – officially announced an important milestone: the Student Exchange Program between SBS and Utah Tech University is now officially launched.
Utah Tech University is a dynamic public university located in St. George, Utah — a region known for its warm climate and breathtaking natural landscapes. Utah Tech follows an applied polytechnic education model, emphasizing hands-on learning, advanced technology integration, and the development of practical career-ready skills. Students are inspired to learn through innovation, real-world problem solving, and an entrepreneurial mindset, preparing them for success in an increasingly global job market.
Expanding Opportunities for SBS Students
According to Mr. Hoàng Văn Cương, this exchange program opens valuable international learning and cultural experiences for students of both institutions. Specifically:

Exchange Scholarship: Each year, two outstanding SBS students will receive a full tuition waiver to study at Utah Tech University. In return, SBS will also welcome students from Utah Tech to participate in academic exchange at SBS.
Credit Recognition: Academic results obtained during the exchange semester will be mutually recognized by both institutions, ensuring students’ study progress remains uninterrupted.
“This marks a strategic advancement that reinforces SBS’s strong commitment to internationalizing education. We remain dedicated to building a multicultural, innovative, and globally connected learning environment—one that offers students comprehensive development opportunities,” Mr. Cương emphasized.
