The Bachelor of Data Science program , a collaboration between Saigon Business School (SBS) and Deakin University, Australia, is designed to be flexible, offering students access to world-class education at an affordable cost. The program consists of 2 stages:

STAGE 1 (IN VIETNAM):

Duration: 1 year at SBS.

Depending on language proficiency and academic performance, students may need to complete additional English preparatory courses if they do not meet the entry requirements.

STAGE 2 (IN AUSTRALIA)

Duration: 2 years at Deakin University.

Upon completing the program, students will be awarded a globally recognized Bachelor of Data Science degree from Deakin University.

Total study duration: 3 years.

After 2 years of study in Australia, students are eligible to apply for the 485 Temporary Graduate Visa, allowing them to seek employment opportunities in Australia.

Master Le Hoang Viet Tuan

Mr. Hoàng Lê Việt Tuấn holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and has 12 years of experience in management, teaching, and maintaining systems in corporations and universities. He is currently the Head of the Data Science Department at Saigon Business School (SBS). Additionally, he brings practical experience as a senior manager at major companies such as Samsung and Hahalolo LLC.

Dr. Nguyen Duc Thanh

Dr. Nguyễn Đức Thành holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Wollongong, Australia. He is currently a Senior Lecturer in Computer Science at Deakin University. Additionally, he is conducting postdoctoral research at the Singapore University of Technology and Design.

Notes: The above costs do not include living expenses. The average living expenses in Australia (for reference) that students should budget for are as follows:

Accommodation (AUD ~250-500/week)	This cost applies to shared housing, dormitories, or rental properties in suburban areas and smaller cities. In major cities like Sydney or Melbourne, if you choose to rent a private house or live in the city center, the cost can range from AUD ~250 to 500/week.
Food and Dining (AUD ~230-300/week)	This is suitable for students who cook for themselves and manage their budget efficiently. For students who frequently dine out or have higher food consumption needs, the cost may exceed this range.
Public Transportation (AUD ~30-50/week)	This cost applies to students who live near the campus and use a student discount card. In major cities with high transportation costs like Sydney, travel expenses may be higher if commuting frequently or traveling longer distances.
Shopping and Entertainment (AUD 40-100/week)	This includes expenses for personal shopping, participating in recreational activities, or short trips. For students who frequently engage in entertainment activities or shop more often, costs may exceed this average range.

SCHOLARSHIP

SBS & Deakin University offer a variety of scholarships for students enrolling in Bachelor of Data Science program , a collaboration between SBS and Deakin University:

For the study phase in Vietnam: Students have the opportunity to receive SBS scholarships covering up to 70% of tuition fees for the entire period of study in Vietnam. Scholarship eligibility is based on academic performance, extracurricular activities, and the results of an interview with the SBS Admissions Committee.
Deakin offers a 20% scholarship for students pursuing the pathway program between SBS and Deakin (this may be higher depending on individual performance).
