Saigon Business School (SBS) signs Memorandum of Understanding with St. Louis College of San Fernando La Union

On 10 October 2024, St. Louis College of San Fernando La Union (SLC) and Saigon Business School (SBS) took a significant step towards formalizing their partnership through the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU). This agreement aims to foster collaboration in areas such as academic programs, student exchanges, online learning, and research sharing, reflecting a shared commitment to academic excellence.

The ceremony commenced with the singing of the national anthems of the Philippines and Vietnam, setting a tone of unity and shared purpose.

In his opening remarks, Reverend Father Roderick G. William R. CICM, Ph.D., highlighted the importance of international collaboration and expressed appreciation for the efforts of Dr. Leo Galap in cultivating this partnership. He emphasized the transformative opportunities this collaboration presents for both students and faculty.

The event featured presentations from both institutions. Vivian Aisha Google Baker introduced St. Louis College, detailing its history, academic offerings, and commitment to quality education. Freya, the International Program Assistant at SBS, showcased the school’s strengths, including its location, international programs, and support for student internships and career development.

Dr. Leo Galap formally read the MOU, outlining the collaborative initiatives and goals. The ceremonial signing followed, with Reverend Father Roderick G. William Marcy representing SLC and Dr. Hoang Van Cuong, Managing Director of SBS, signing on behalf of his institution.

In his address, Dr. Cuong expressed gratitude for the partnership and underscored the significance of education in shaping the future. He stated that SBS believes this partnership will unlock opportunities for students and staff, creating pathways for growth and development.

More than just an agreement, this MOU connects our institutions, enabling us to share knowledge and broaden horizons for our students. It emphasizes the collective commitment of both SLC and SBS to provide innovative educational experiences that empower individuals to excel. 

Concluding the ceremony, Dr. Galap thanked SBS for the partnership and encouraged the College of Business and Accountancy and the School of Advanced Studies to actively engage in making this collaboration successful. We hope this MOU will facilitate innovative educational experiences that empower students and strengthen ties between our institutions.
