The session began with an insightful introduction by Mr. Trần Hải Đăng, a seasoned Hotel Training Manager at Renaissance. Mr. Đăng delved into the rich history and global influence of Marriott International as one of the world’s leading hotel chains. He also introduced students to Renaissance Riverside Saigon, a prominent five-star hotel under Marriott International, and showcased its exceptional service standards, living up to their reputation in Vietnam’s hospitality industry.

A highlight of the visit was the engaging career-sharing segment, where a manager from Renaissance Riverside Saigon shared her professional journey. Skybar Visit: A Stunning View of Ho Chi Minh City
Students were also treated to a sneak peek at the Renaissance’s renowned Skybar, offering what is arguably the best view in District 1. Overlooking the Saigon River, the Skybar provided students with a memorable look of the hotel’s luxurious atmosphere and the opportunity to appreciate the importance of the location and ambience in delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Restaurant Tour and Hands-On Training
The educational visit continued with a tour of the hotel’s restaurant, where students explored its operations and gained practical experience. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, students practiced setting up a European-style banquet table and learnt the intricacies of fine dining service and the attention to detail that defines world-class hospitality.
