Frequently Asked Questions

Can I work part-time while studying at SBS?

We will assist students in finding part-time jobs while they are studying at SBS. Students can also pursue part-time jobs on their own, but they must report to school. Following immigration law, students are not permitted to work while studying, so we will apply a "get-paid internship" for students, which will be regarded as a part-time job with school supervision.

Does SBS support students in obtaining a visa to Vietnam? How long does it take to receive a visa?

Yes, after we receive the payment from students, we will start to prepare visa application documents and submit them to the Vietnam Immigration Office. It will take around 3 weeks to one month for the visa approval letter to be issued. After that, the students can bring the letter to the Vietnam Embassy in their home country to have their visa stamped.

Is the cost of living in Ho Chi Minh City expensive?

The cost of living in Ho Chi Minh City is very affordable compared to many other major cities around the world. The cost of accommodation, food, transportation, and entertainment is generally lower, making it an attractive destination for both tourists and expatriates. For example, the accommodation fee will be around 150 USD, the food expenses can range from 2–5 USD per meal, and transportation costs are relatively low with options like buses and motorbike taxis available.
