Zoom Session with Yangon Institute for University Studies (YIUS)

On October 22, the Yangon Institute for University Studies (YIUS) hosted a Zoom session led by Mrs. Krystal, Director of YIUS, aimed at introducing students from Myanmar to the opportunities and programs available at Saigon Business School (SBS). The session began with Dr. Hoang Van Cuong, Managing Director of SBS, who shared valuable insights into the benefits of studying at SBS, emphasising the affordability of its programs and the enriching academic experience that international students can expect.

We were also delighted to have one of our current Myanmar students, Honey Thet Htar Zin, share her experiences at SBS, offering prospective students a personal perspective on both academics and day-to-day life in Vietnam as an international student. Her insights provided practical advice and reassurance to those considering studying abroad.

Mr. Huoang further emphasised SBS’s commitment to supporting international students through assistance with bank account setup, visa processes, and continuous academic guidance throughout their studies. He also discussed the variety of programs available at SBS, including transfer opportunities to partner institutions abroad, and reassured participants that comfortable and convenient accommodations are arranged for students. 

The session concluded with a Q&A segment led by Mr. Chris, where participants raised important inquiries about part-time job opportunities, language support, and living costs in Vietnam. Mr. Chris provided thoughtful answers that clarified their concerns and offered useful guidance for students planning their transition to Vietnam.

Through this informative session, students gained valuable insights into the many opportunities at SBS and the support they will receive throughout their journey. We eagerly look forward to welcoming more Myanmar students and helping them thrive in their academic pursuits at Saigon Business School!
